SRG Global is proud to support the Shooting Stars – Glass Jar Australia program, that focuses on empowering Indigenous people, particularly young Indigenous girls and women, to realise their value and aim for the stars.
Recognising the barriers Indigenous girls and women face are complex, the Shooting Stars program focuses not only on increasing school attendance, but strengthening participant confidence, cultural identity and ultimately fostering positive attitudes.
Operating across Western and South Australia, the Shooting Stars program is administered through host schools and led by majority Indigenous women and Program Coordinators, utilising techniques such as Yarning Circles, participation in leadership camps, health and wellbeing sessions and extensive community collaboration. All of which leads to the sole outcome of not just empowering Indigenous girls and women, but fostering opportunities post completion of schooling.
